New Furnishings!

To make your stay all the more enjoyable we recently installed new custom hotel furnishing in all of our guest rooms. You’ll appreciate the large bedside tables with 2-way lamps for good reading light, an activity table and chairs, over-sized dresser with plenty of drawers and a handy luggage rack to keep your bags off the floor. In the “backroom” you’ll find more counter and closet space, plus your own microwave oven, refrigerator, free coffee service and a hair dryer.

We Are Pet Friendly (dogs only – please contact us before booking online to check availability)

Your pooch is welcome at the Harbor Inn. Please call in advance to reserve a ground floor room. Limit two dogs in a room. The pet charge is $15/night. No deposit is required; however, you are responsible for damage caused by your pet. Among South Whidbey accommodations, we are the ONLY pet friendly property!

Families Welcome

Children Under 10 Stay FREE

At the Harbor Inn, children under 10 years stay for free. We’re one of the only Whidbey island Motels to be this family friendly. If you’re staying for several days, consider reserving a room with a kitchenette! We are located across the street from an excellent supermarket, a pharmacy, and restaurants. Enjoy a picnic with the kids at nearby Freeland park and community beach at beautiful Holmes Harbor.

Group Reservations

The Harbor Inn is very popular for weddings, family reunions, and other group gatherings. We are happy to work with you in accommodating your friends and family. However, because we are a small property, just 16 rooms, we cannot “block” rooms in the name of any single person or group. When reserving multiple rooms it is essential that each party in your group call us directly to make a reservation in their own name and guarantee it with their own credit card.

Extended Stays

Are you working at the boatyard? Building a new house? Caring for a family member? The Harbor Inn is popular with guests requiring lodging for extended periods of time. Compared to other lodgings on the South End, we have the unique  advantage of being located across from a new shopping center with an excellent grocery store and pharmacy; nearby are banks, the post office, several restaurants, and a new athletic club. To reserve a room at the Harbor Inn, you may call us directly at (360) 331-6900. You can also book your reservation online, or contact us via email to inquire about room availability, special needs, and other questions. Office hours are between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., daily. Please have a credit card ready to guarantee your reservation.  However, we can not confirm your reservation via email–you must phone us with your credit card number to guarantee the reservation.

Cancellation Policy

It is very important that you call us to cancel or change a reservation. We require 48-hour notification. During the summer, we require 1-week advance notice. If you make a reservation and do not show, your credit card will be charged for a 1-night stay. Same day cancellations will be charged a penalty equal to 1 night’s stay.

Late Arrivals

If you think you may arrive late after 9 p.m., or find yourself delayed, please let us know in advance and we will arrange for you to have access to your room after-hours.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m. If you need to arrive earlier, or stay on a little longer, just let us know in advance so we may accommodate your request.


Guests are responsible for any damages caused to their room and will be charged a minimum of $40 (spills, smoking in room, extra clean up), and up to $500 for more serious damage (broken furniture, flooring, TV, damage to walls or fixtures)
